The genetics in C035, Right Time and EXT are unmatched in the breed for consistently producing highly valued functional females. This functionality is epitomized by their structural soundness, beautiful udders, easy fleshing, fertility, good dispositions and performance. The longevity of her sire and brother and the esteem with which their progeny are held is the market’s truest test of genetic value. The market has recognized this by the way it has valued the genetics going back to the sale of her record-setting dam. C035 balances a BEPD among the lowest 10% of active Angus dams with a WEPD and an IMF EPD among the top 10%, ranking among the top 15% for YEPD and UREA EPD. A full sister is a featured donor at Vintage Angus Ranch in California and this top-selling cow of a past sale at Express Angus Ranch produced a $17,000 embryo heifer calf and a $10,000 heifer calf pregnancy in their 2002 production sale and her sixteen progeny evaluated by ultrasound have an average IMF ratio of 106 to rank her among the top 3% of active Angus dams for IMF EPD. The donor dam of this young female was the $45,000 Lot 1 female of the record-setting 1997 sale at Leachman Angus Ranch and her more than $300,000 in progeny sales also include the $53,000 foundation Erica donor at Express Angus Ranch that produced the $180,000 record-setting bred heifer of the Angus breed as her first natural calf. The market further validated this with the all-time record sale of the Right Time daughter, Beartooth Everelda Entense 57D for $210,000 for one-half interest in 2003. The 2003 Black Grove Angus Sale headlined an embryo heifer from the foundation Black Grove Erica by the rare and valuable growth and carcass leader Twin Valley Precision E161. NER Farms in Wisconsin purchased this future donor for their program for $6,000 and a full brother is serving as the herd sire at Monadnock Ranch in South Carolina. Her last three pregnancies by 6807 and Emblazon have sold for $31,000 at auction. Her 598 heifer had a phenomenal IMF ratio of 140 and an actual score of 6.35. She has an IMF ratio of 107 on all of her progeny. We have daughters out of Bandolier, 598 and 0H29. She has most recently been flushed to OCC Emblazon 854E, DHD Traveler 6807 and CA Future Direction. Watch for her progeny in our next sale or call us to discover how this tremendous female can help your program in the future. |
