Black Grove Polly 819 was the top-selling lot at the NILE in 1999 leading her to being called the "Queen of the NILE." This 124 daughter is one of the most complete packages in the country. Blending the Rachel and Polly families, she has a balanced set of EPDs with outstanding Marbling (I +.17) and Ribeye (I+.16) carcass traits.

819 is sired by the legendary Pathfinder sire Traveler 124 GDAR, who sired the $320,000 top-selling cow in the history of the breed and whose semen sold for over $20,000 per straw.

819 descends from two outstanding donors, her dam VDAR Polly 836 and her grandam VDAR Polly 215. 819 has matured into a powerful female. Her first natural bull calf ratioed 109 at the Edisto Research Center Bull Test.

The very first progeny of this great, young donor (a package of four embryos by Leachman Right Time) sold last year in Denver for $1,250 each to RA-MAR in California.

819’s daughters were the hit of our 2004 Mature cow dispersal. Her SVF Bandolier daughter was the top selling bred heifer at $8,750, a full sibling brought $5,400, her GAR Precision 1680 sold for $6,000 and her Bon View New Design 878 sold for $4,000. Quite a Coming Out Party! Her Bandolier daughters are tremendous. We currently have two in production including Black Grove Polly 302 who is a new young donor for us.

In 2003 Russell and Elaine Woods became our partners in this exciting young donor. We hope to flush her to OCC Missing Link, OCC Emblazon, OCC Paxton, and Dunlouise Jipsey Earl, among others.

Watch for her daughters in our next production sale. They will be some of the most maternal females offered. Call us to discover how this tremendous female can help your program in the future.

Owned jointly with Russell Woods.
