Selected as the first Bandolier daughter to serve as a donor at Black Grove. This tremendous young donor is bred for performance. Her dam is our 124 daughter Shady Brooke Forever Lady 135H, who had a weaning ratio of 134 and a yearly ratio of 117 on her first calf. Her Pathfinder grandam is GDAR Forever Lady 98 who had the all-time highest average progeny ratios in the GDAR herd in Montana where she sold for a record price of $85,000 in 1997. 98 is now 15 years old and still producing for Wayne Wilde in Minnesota. And her great grandam is the legendary Pathfinder Dam LT Forever Lady 395 GDAR. Her sire, the rare and valuable SVF Bandolier, is the most muscled carcass bull in the breed and one of the all-time highest performance sires. He was ranked as the sixth highest ultrasound ribeye bull in the history of the breed. For EPDs he also ranks in the top 1% for milk, top 5% for weaning, top 10% of yearling. For ultrasound he ranks in the top 1% for ribeye, top 5% for % retail product, top 15% intramuscular fat. Bandolier sons and daughters continue to be in great demand. His semen has sold for $1,700 per straw on the ACS classifieds. (For more information see sires SVF Bandolier.) As you can see Black Grove Forever Lady 266 has one of the most royally bred performance pedigrees in the breed and her first E.T. calves are providing early proof of her potential. As a heifer 266 was flushed one time to Leachman Right Time. Out of this flush she produced our highest weaning weight heifer at 740 pounds and the highest weaning weight bull at 780 pounds from our recips. The heifer Black Grove Forever Lady 634 has developed into a gorgeous young female and one of the newest members of our donor pool. 266's EPDs rank her in the top 1% for milk, top 20% for weaning weight and top 5% for yearling weight. For ultrasound she ranks in the top 20% for IMF, top 10% for RE, and top 20% for %RP. She also ranks in the top 25% in wean value ($W), in the top 25% for feedlot value ($F), in the top 25% for $G and in the top 20% for beef value ($B). All of this performance is contained in a gorgeous phenotype package. Her full brother sold half interest to Risse Angus for $10,000. She is structurally sound, easy fleshing, has a perfect udder and a wonderful disposition. 266 will be flushed in 2006 to OCC Emblazon 854E, GAR Predestined, DHD Traveler 6807, and EXT. Look for these genetics in our future sales. Call us to discover how this tremendous female can help your program in the future. Her second natural calf is a heifer out of OCC Emblazon 854E which weighed 636 pounds at weaning. Everyone who sees her is talking about how deep, thick and complete she is. She is currently a donor prospect. |
