+Black Grove Black Belle 110 Calved 02/18/01 +13907170
BLACK GROVE BLACK BELLE 110 was bred for longevity. She naturally epitomizes functionality in that she exhibits all the elements including structural soundness, fleshing ability, udder quality with small teats, and productivity. Just like her dam she is one of the deepest ribbed individuals in the breed. She has a moderate frame and weighs about 1,200 pounds. Just what you would expect from the greatest daughter of the infamous H96 Black Belle 442 who lived to nurse a natural calf at the age of 20 and to be flushed at the age of 22. These two remarkable individuals truly demonstrate all that is good in Angus females. Since her dam was 22 years old, 110's EPDs are two decades old. In spite of this, 110 has a good set of Interim EPDs with a BW +1.5, WW +34, milk +22, YW +66, SC +.47. She is especially strong in the new association traits including a $W of +24.99 which ranks in the top 15% and $EN is +8.82. Her sire, the now-deceased breed legend, SAF 598 Bando 5175, has earned his mark as the most dominant performance and maternal sire of all time. He is unmatched by any proven sire in the Angus breed for his combination of performance and maternal traits, ranking in the breed's top 1% for weaning weight, yearling weight and milk EPDs and in the top 5% for scrotal circumference, along with excellent ultrasound numbers for both marbling and ribeye area. His feminine, heavy-milking daughter is making some of the most beautiful-uddered, productive cows in the breed. We spent two years researching this family, and another acquiring the 110 pregnancy. This investment of time and money may be the best one we ever made. The breed can chase all the fads it wants, but the genetic traits of longevity and functionality will never go out of style. We have been flushing 110 to G A R Predestined, DHD Traveler 6807, Leachman Right Time, OCC Emblazon 854E and G A R Retail Product. As you might expect, she is an excellent egg producer. On top of all this she is one of the biggest pets on the ranch. We do love docile cattle at Black Grove. Watch for her progeny in our next sale or call us to discover how this rare and valuable donor can help your program. |
